都说音乐跟潮流一样与时俱进。就说唱乐来说，从千禧年时期大热的源自于美国中南部圣路易斯的DirtySouth、Crunk(旷客乐)到随后Chief Keef的出现，Trap的出现，直至现在各大Club响起“How can I be homophobic? My ***** is gay”所有人为之狂热的Drill。嘻哈产业似乎如朝代一样更迭。但是提及Westcoast、G-Funk、Chicano等这些曾经统治90年代嘻哈产业的音乐词条，会把很多人带回那个beat响起脑海里就是海岸、沙滩、棕榈树，Lowrider转动多条幅金色轮毂行驶在日落大道的画面吧。

抖音上你可能刷到过一句戏谑的SLOGAN：“我玩儿的就是西海岸”这也许是大部分人现在对这个音乐类型的印象停留。

从90年代Sugarknight的西海岸传奇厂牌DeathRow，旗下囊括Snoop Dogg、2Pac、Ice cube这些耳熟能详的名字。到之后的Dipset Diplomatz、The Game，直至现在的新王KendrickLamar。这个说唱乐中的经典风格一直在传承延续。西海岸的音乐风格更像一种病毒式扩散的文化，影响了服装，改装车，Tattoo，涂鸦等多个文化圈层。

「TALKBOX」人声效果器，Talkbox顾名思义说话的盒子。由合成器弹奏输出音色进入电子功放到特殊型号的喇叭，再由一根管子密闭接入人的口腔，把产生的音色振动通过人的口腔、喉腔咬字成音的一种音乐演出形式。代表人物Roger Troutman（已故）、Fingazz、Doggy Master等说到Roger也许你没听过这个名字，但2Pac的《California Love》一定是你耳朵都听出茧的神曲。经典的Talkbox的副歌便是出自Roger。再譬如你听过无数遍，来自Bruno Mars的《24K Magic》歌曲开头的部分也是Talkbox的经典输出。说到这里，Talkbox作为西海岸风格音乐经典的元素，我们也邀请到了来自广州曾得到Talkbox传奇Fingazz认可的国内Talkbox玩家：SHAKER。当晚为大家带来近距离的Talkbox Live。
