Rave Republic | 从世界五百强到全球百大DJ

其实很多百大DJ成名前都做着完全相反的工作。

DJ Snake 15岁时在巴黎一家唱片店打工，而16年前Skrillex还是”From First to Last”乐队的主唱。无独有偶，Rave Republic组合成员Stas&Mthias在成名之前，一个是世界五百强宝洁公司的品牌经理，另一个则刚刚取得了研究生学位。

In fact, many TOP 100 DJs did totally different jobs before they became famous.DJ Snake worked at a record shop in Paris when he was15, and Skrillex was the lead singer of "From First to Last" 16 years ago. Also, Stas & Mthias, members of Rave Republic, one was a brand manager of Procter & Gamble, and the other just obtained master degree.

11年前，Stas&Mthias从俄罗斯和瑞士移居到新加坡。7年后，他们再次“不约而同”从各自职业领域转行从事DJ工作。也许命运的安排就是这么奇妙，无数次的“偶然”成就了他们的“必然”。因一次加时B2B比赛结缘，共同在多个国家成长的经历，以及对多元音乐的喜好，让他们最终决定以”Rave Republic（锐舞联合国）”的艺名展开了新的电音征程。

事实证明，他们做出的选择无比正确。

在东京、香港、曼谷等地音乐节上的演出，为他们迅速打开了知名度。2015年发行的首张单曲《Far Away》取得了iTunes舞曲榜上排名第一的成绩，后续单曲《Shoot for the Moon》跃居iTunes总排行榜第一位。与此同时，凭借着在音乐上的极高造诣与不俗的舞台表现，他们得以签约华纳唱片，成为林肯公园（Linkin Park）, Adam Lambert等巨星的“同事”。而从组合成立到完成这些耀眼的成就，Rave Republic用了仅仅两年的时间。

从成立之初，Rave Republic就选择了白衬衫+黑领带作为组合的标志。一是为了表达对组合的热爱与热情，二是为了纪念之前的职业生涯。就如同“Republic”的含义一样，“多元而联合”是他们的曲风代名词。在他们的音乐中你既能领略到原产自北欧的“实验电音”，Electro House与优美旋律的融合，往往又能制造出全场Raver的大合唱。时至如今，Afrojack,Nicky Romero, W&W, DJ Snake, SKrillex都曾和他们同台演出，Rave Republic也将自己的名字写进了2019TOP100DJs#94位。

From the beginning, Rave Republic chose white shirt & black tie as the symbol to express the love and enthusiasm for the duo and their career. As the meaning of "Republic", "multiple and united" is synonymous with their style. In their music, you can not only enjoy the"experimental electronic music" from Northern Europe, and an all-raverschorus. Up to now, Afrojack, Nicky Romero, W & W, DJ snake, SKrillex have performed with them on the stage, and Rave Republic has entered 2019 TOP100DJs# 94.

演出之外，他们热爱动物热爱美食，也同样深爱着赋予他们灵感与成就的新加坡。“我们在这里长大，青春期和十几岁的青少年都在这里，这也是我们学习和发现新事物的地方，所以我们很自豪地将自己归类为来自新加坡。”

Aside from the show, they love animals and food, and they also love Singapore, which inspired them. "We grew up here, adolescents and teens are here, this is where we learn and discover new things, so we are proud toclassify ourselves as Singaporean."
