不过，大多数人现在对于EDM的印象，都会马上想到 House 系的 Big Room。看到这个名字就能够知道这种音乐就是适合在大型的场地中播放的，BPM在128前后。

在Big Room 中，也可以分为两个大的种类分支。Electro House（只是归为 Big Room 里的Electro House） 和 Progressive House（并非Sasha、John Digweed 那种形式的 Progressive House ）
Big Room can be divided into two large categories of branches. Electro House (meaning only Electro House in the Big Room style) and the Progressive House (not Sasha, John Digweed's Progressive House).
Electro House系
首先Electro House系的话（只是归为 Big Room 里的Electro House），简单点说，就是简单粗暴用了夸张的drop、break等，迅速并且强烈的调动舞池情绪，大多数曲子都能加入 ‘ 1-2-3-Jump’ ，这些都是Electro House 的特点。代表曲目有

Progressive House 系
Progressive House（并非Sasha、John Digweed 那种形式的 Progressive House ），音色的重点是充满着感情渲染的旋律和和弦。从 Swedish House Mafia 开始，许多 Progressive House 都可以归属在其中，2014～15年流行的 Melodic Progressive House 是具有代表性的。

Melbourne Bounce
与Big Room 比较接近的，还有发祥于澳大利亚的Melbourne Bounce，有着简单的Bassline的派对曲目。
This style is very close to Big Room, and originated in Australia. Melbourne Bounce has a simple Bassline and make great party tracks.

Hardstyle 转 Big Room
最后，在荷兰非常流行的BPM速率很高的Hardstyle的 Headhunterz 和 Showtek 也加入了EDM的大军，Hardstyle 的 King 给 Big Room 带来巨大的影响。
