Livehouse最早起源于日本，从90年代初马克西姆西餐厅里的崔健开始，在中国产生了萌芽，经过20余年的跌撞发展逐渐成型。但受多方因素影响，Livehouse经营业态一直并不尽人意，甚至很多只是靠着独立音乐人的理想和情怀在苦苦坚持。2019年，Livehouse的发展迎来了历史性的转折。综艺节目《乐队的夏天》的播出，不但捧红了新裤子、痛仰、刺猬、海龟先生等乐队，更是将Livehouse这一线下音乐消费新场景推到了大众的眼前，得到了前所未有的关注。
