Mama Told Ya 由法国 DJ / 制作人 Anetha 创立于 2019 年，致力于实验、探索与对话的平台。作为 Mama Loves Ya 的延伸，Mama Told Ya 是其进一步探索音乐与环境之间关系的全新载体。从减少俱乐部中的一次性用品到交通工具的探讨，Mama Loves Ya 曾通过一系列公开行动过为围绕气候问题而作出贡献。自 Mama Loves Ya 成立以来，他们与像是 Greenly 和 Music Declares 这样的机构合作，进一步构思关于碳足迹的讨论，同时为那些生态项目提供资金支持。

《Use your difference to make the difference》

UFO95 与 Anetha 的合作曲目《Wet For It》收录于他在 2022 年发行于 Mama Told Ya 的专辑《Use your difference to make the difference》。他们与 CGI 艺术家组合 Orgaphine 合作，将目光投向自动化、生物力学与嵌合生物，贡献了对于 hardcore techno，当代 reggaeton 及实验声音的共同热爱。UFO95 还在 Exos 的厂牌 Planet X 发行了 EP《PLAN Æ T - PX - 7》，通过实验与异化的声音探索宇宙音景。今年 UFO95 更创立了个人厂牌 ARCHIVE，首张专辑《ARC01》将在 6 月 16 日正式发行。

《Popularity is overrated》

SLEEK：你在 Mama Told Ya 发行了很多曲目，《Popularity is overrated》是其中的首个发行。Mama Told Ya 与其他厂牌有何不同？你为什么想和他们一起工作？

SLEEK: You have released a number of tracks with Mama Told Ya, your very first being the EP “Popularity is overrated”. What was it about this label that differed from others? Why did you want to work with them?

UFO95：几年前当我发现 Mama Told Ya 的时候便立刻被 TA 们的提议所吸引。TA 们的视觉语言是让我印象深刻首个事物，它与其他 techno 厂牌传统、黑暗的审美形成鲜明对比。不仅仅是世界，甚至 TA 们对音乐和声音的理解也是不同的。在我吧 demo 发给 Anetha 后，我们很快成为了亲密的朋友。与 Mama Loves Ya 和 Mama Told Ya 合作是自然而然的，就像命中注定那样。

UFO95: When I discovered Mama Told Ya a few years ago, I immediately felt attracted by what they were proposing. Their visual language was the first thing that stood out to me, as it contrasted the conventional, dark aesthetic of so many other techno labels. But it wasn’t just the visuals, even their music and understanding of sound was different. I sent over a demo of mine to Anetha and pretty soon after we became close friends. Working with Mama Loves Ya and Mama Told Ya has always felt very natural, like it was always meant to be. 

SLEEK：通过 TA 们的信仰，Mama Told Ya 意识到自己在气候危机中起到的作用，并始终活跃在其中。在可持续发展方便，你认为音乐进行了何种改变？

SLEEK：Through their “Personal Commitments”, Mama Told Ya are recognising their role within the climate crisis and being actively transparent about it. How do you think music can aid change when it comes to sustainability?

UFO95：音乐很少在气候危机的话题中被提及。但随着 Mama Told Ya 和 Mama Loves Ya 的倡议，关于音乐在可持续发展中所扮演的角色的重要性正在电子音乐场景中传播。Mama 通过真诚与公开的行为推广可实行的解决方案，供人群与其他厂牌采用。

UFO95: Music is rarely placed in the context of the climate crisis. But with the Mama Told Ya and Mama Loves Ya initiatives, the word is spreading across the electronic music scene about the importance of recognising the role music plays in sustainability. By being so honest and open about their actions, Mama is promoting accessible solutions for people and other music labels to adopt. 

SLEEK：Mama 给出的另一个承诺是：“我们会无条件地热爱所有音乐与人群。” Mama Told Ya 正给以一种真正的社群与家庭氛围。为什么社群对于音乐来说如此重要？

SLEEK：Another one of Mama’s Personal Commitments is “We will love all kinds of music and people, unconditionally.” There is a real community and family feel with Mama Told Ya. Why is a feeling of community important when it comes to music?

UFO95：音乐行业有时候非常孤立，所以加入这样一个由社群驱动的群体感觉非常特别。Mama Told Ya 就像一个大家庭，你可以从中寻求帮助与建议，分享与交流，启发或是被启发。你可以展现脆弱，也能够受到鼓舞。在你身边有这样的社群，尤其在音乐行业，这是一个学习的机会。

UFO95: The music industry can be very isolating sometimes, so to be a part of such a community driven collective feelings very special. Mama Told Ya is very much like a family. You can ask for help and advice. You can share and exchange. You can inspire and be inspired. You can be vulnerable and you can uplift. Having a community around you, especially in the music industry, is an opportunity to learn. 

SLEEK: 我们还能聊聊在舞池中感受到的社群氛围。舞池如何让我们彼此重新建立联结？

SLEEK: We can also speak about the feeling of community when it comes to being on the dance floor. How can the dance floor allow us to reconnect with one another?

UFO95: 音乐一直是人们相互链接的方式——无论是在舞池还是通过声波。几天前我看了一个采访，科学家解释说跳舞不仅仅是身体的运动，而是人与人之间的一种语言。这样人群便能通过这种通用的舞蹈语言成为一个整体的一部分。

UFO95:  Music has always been a means for people to connect with one another – whether that’s on the dance floor or through the airwaves. I actually watched an interview a few days ago where a scientist explained that dancing was not just bodies moving, but rather a language between peoples. In this way, people can become part of a singular “body” through this universal language of dance.

SLEEK：从柏林的 Berghain 到伦敦的 Village Underground，你在许多不同的场地进行演出。你最近还与 Anetha, Mac Declos 及 Vel 在慕尼黑的 BLITZ 进行了 Mama Told Ya 的 Showcases。当你和同一个厂牌的艺术家一起演出时，能量会有所不同吗？

SLEEK: You’ve played internationally at a number of different venues; from Berlin’s Berghain to London’s Village Underground. You recently played at Munich’s BLITZ  as part of the Mama Told Ya Showcase with Anetha, Mac Declos and Vel. Is the energy different when you’re playing with artists from the same label?

UFO95：当我们为 Mama Told Ya Showcases 演出时是最棒的。我们始终停留在那个放歌、跳舞、微笑、大笑、提供支持的人身边。能量是不可思议的，它流动在舞池。这就是为什么每场 Mama Told Ya Showcases 都如此特别。这不仅是与不同艺术家的派对时刻，这是一次真正的家庭聚会，人群也是其中不可或缺的一部分。

UFO95: When we do the Mama Told Ya showcases, it’s the best. We always stay around the one playing, dancing, smiling, laughing, supporting. The energy is incredible and I think it flows onto the dance floor. That’s why every Mama Told Ya showcase is so special. It’s not just a party with different artists; it’s a real family meeting and the crowd are an integral part of that too. 

SLEEK：Mama 会为每个发行都提供一则新的建议，就像你在 22 年 4 月发行的《Use your difference to make the difference》。你收到最好的建议是什么？

SLEEK: With each release comes a new piece of advice from Mama. For example, your most recent release back in April 2022 was named “Use your difference to make the difference”. What is the best advice you’ve received?

UFO95：永远相信自己的梦想。我知道这听起来有点陈词滥调，但对我来说意义重大，尤其是我真的实现了自己的梦想。这是一个漫长的过程，付出了许多努力才走到现在，我很高兴自己没有放弃。

UFO95: Always believe in your dreams. I know it sounds a little cliché but it means so much to me, especially now that I am literally living out my dreams. It was a long process and a lot of work to be where I am now, but I’m so happy I didn’t give up. 

SLEEK：如果是你给出建议，那会是什么？

SLEEK: And if you were to give advice, what would it be?

UFO95: 和我收到的一样：相信你的梦想。只要你努力，没有什么是不可能的！
