周五6月2日 - M.O.N.A. with Sideways @ Dada Shanghai

Sideways第二场活动邀请到了特别嘉宾 M.O.N.A.。他是来自北京的DJ和音乐制作人。现在他在北京以及周边地区的地下house和techno音乐派对正在逐渐声名鹊起。他将与Sideways常驻DJ Tomás（英国）、DJ LOKE（加拿大）和Shanyinde（英国）一同献艺。你将听到一系列充满灵魂、抽象且奇特的节拍。

此外，派对上还会有本地艺术家VOEL的视觉装置作品展示，不容错过！

The second installment of Sideways features a special guest appearance by M.O.N.A. (Beijing), a DJ and producer who’s gaining a reputation for throwing solid underground house and techno nights in and around Beijing. He’ll be joined by regulars Tomás (UK), DJ LOKE (Canada) and Shanyinde (UK). Expect to hear a good range of soulful, abstract and oddball beats.

The party will also feature a visual installation by local artist VOEL.

上世纪90年代，Shanyinde开始在苏格兰从事DJ工作，后来在举办Gilles Peterson、The Quantic Soul Orchestra和Seiji等演出的俱乐部担任驻场嘉宾。 抵达上海后，他 V-Nutz 的帮助下进入了DJ圈子，而V-Nutz正准备开设他的新场地The Shelter。 正是在这个传奇俱乐部，Shanyinde带来了Floating Points、Pépé Bradock、Chee Shimizu和Black Merlin等人物。 他还支持包括Recloose和Dâm-Funk在内的国际艺人，并经常在C's和Dada等其他地下场所演出。

Shanyinde began DJing in Scotland in the ‘90s, later holding residencies at clubs that would host acts such as Gilles Peterson, The Quantic Soul Orchestra and Seiji. Upon arriving in Shanghai he was helped into the DJ circuit by V-Nutz, who was about to open his new venue, The Shelter. It was at this legendary club that Shanyinde brought over figures such as Floating Points, Pépé Bradock, Chee Shimizu and Black Merlin. He also supported international acts including Recloose and Dâm-Funk and played regular guest spots at other underground spots such as C’s and Dada. His sets travel from new jazz & broken beat to off-kilter house and dusty techno.

Tomás (UK) has contributed to, documented and lived the Shanghai music scene for many, many years. As a DJ his influences are wide ranging, but while the tempo or genre of the music may change up, the key elements do not – it’s gotta have soul, it’s gonna be raw and there’ll always be a surprise or two thrown in for good measure! Whether back in the day playing alongside like-minded souls at nights like Minimalist or these days guesting with the VOID kru, the vibe to expect = a basement, a red light & a feeling :)

加拿大DJ LOKE打碟20多年，是地下嘻哈派对BOOMBAP的创始人。 他在上海声名鹊起，曾在C’s、The Shelter和Dada等俱乐部演出，并与Come Correct、Astrodome和Brazen crews等合作。 他的音乐跨越了广泛的流派，这些流派混合在他的技巧重、快速但总是时髦的风格中。 他可能是一个低调的人，但这并没有阻止他转头并在整个城镇撕毁地板。

Canadian DJ LOKE has been spinning for over 20 years and is the founder of the underground hip-hop party BOOMBAP. He's built up a respected name in Shanghai, playing at clubs such as C’s, The Shelter and Dada and collaborating with Come Correct, Astrodome, and Brazen crews to name a few. His music cuts across a wide array of genres that are mixed in his trick-heavy, quick, but always funky style. He might be a low-key type of guy but that hasn't stopped him from turning heads and tearing up floors all over town.

原生艺术家VOEL双手同利，擅长使用抽象表现的视觉语言描绘音景、潜意识和宇宙能量。

VOEL is a self-taught ambidextrous artist who uses abstract expressionist painting to illustrate soundscape, subconsciousness, and cosmic energies.
